Dr. Nikosi Rodrigues, Speech-Language Pathologist & Developmental Specialist 

Dr. Rodrigues is a seasoned speech-language pathologist and child development specialist with experience working with individuals across the lifespan. Her interest in homeschooling emerged from her doctoral research on virtual learning and her decision to homeschool her own son. Dr. Rodrigues has successfully worked with numerous homeschooled children, addressing speech and language-based disorders, as well as providing language enrichment courses. She is passionate about executive function skills, educational technology, artificial intelligence, dyslexia, parent and caregiver education, and professional development. Dr. Rodrigues loves educating parents, caregivers, teachers, therapists, city staff members, and city stakeholders through presentations, consultations, and advocacy work.


Dr. Rebekah McPherson, Educational Technology Professor & speech-language pathologist

Dr. McPherson graduated with a master’s degree in speech language pathology in 2021. In addition, she holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in curriculum and instruction. Her background in educational technology informs her work as a speech-language pathologist. Her inspiration to dive into speech language and build a collection of tech tools for dyslexic students, came about after her own son was diagnosed with a speech delay, and later as dyslexic. Currently, she is an adjunct faculty for higher ed. and works as a speech-language pathologist in the schools.
